Our Team

Bridget

Bridget Smith

Bridget is from the New Albany (West Union) area where she resides with her husband, Paul, and son, Cohen.  Bridget and her family share three dogs and four cats.  She grew up on a small farm by her grandparent and has always deeply loved animals.  She has been with New Albany Animal Clinic for 15 years.  Bridget notes that it is a very rewarding career to take care of your fur babies.  From tending to them in the hospital to ordering items that are needed for their care, she enjoys making sure they always have everything they need.  When she is not at the clinic, she loves pool time, vacations, gardening, and jig saw puzzles.

Chris

Chris Cockrell:

Chris is from a small community called Cornersville where she lives with husband, Lonnie, along with five dogs and three cats.Chris has always loved animals and that means she knows firsthand how valuable our animal companions are!  She has been with us for over 14 years.  As the clinic manager, she keeps everything running smoothly so the doctors and team members can concentrate on treating your animals.  This managerial position does not keep her from providing hands on care when extra hands are needed!  She also always makes sure to make a visit when puppies and kittens enter into the world!  When not at the clinic, Chris enjoys spending time with family.  In the summer months, she is usually found outside tending her flower beds.

Katie

Katie Crosby:

Katie is from Hattiesburg, MS.  She had 12 years experience working as a veterinary technician in a mixed animal practice prior to joining our family at New Albany Animal Clinic.  Whether she’s performing lab tests or assisting with surgeries, she enjoys the wide variety of animals and responsibilities that fill her day.  Anyone who has seen Katie at work can attest to the joy caring for animals brings her.  Regardless of the time of day (or night!) you would be hard pressed to find her without a kind genuine smile for every animal she meets. Katie has 2 dogs (Webster and JEB), 2 cats(Leon and Earl), and her horse, Moses.

Carhey

Carhey Nunley:

Carhey serves in many roles within the clinic, always willing to help, but her primary position is as veterinary assistant to Dr. Campbell.  Carhey has been part of our family since 2020 and constantly strives to continue advancing her skill set to best serve our patients.  She strives to ensure all of our patients are given the best care possible while also giving focus to providing our clients with peace of mind when it comes to their fur babies.    She is proudly supported by her wonderful husband, Chad, two sweet stepsons, Cohen and Jude, and a precious baby girl, Taylor Rae.  Carhey has three dogs:  Rocky (Golden Retriever mix), Ella (Cocker Spaniel), and Dak (Cocker Spaniel).

Ashley

Ashley McLellan:

Ashley has been part of our family since 2021 and hasn't found a job yet she can't do!  A phenom with the felines, she is our resident cat whisperer.  Ashley laughingly credits her "cat herding" abilities to growing up wrangling her six younger brothers!  Ashley primarily cares for our boarding and hospitalized patients, taking great pride in providing a high level of care and comfort for each individual.  Her detailed attention to each patient helps us provide the very best care possible!  Ashley is a team player in every sense of the word, she gladly assists everyone from doctors to receptionists and does so with a smile!

Fun fact:  Ashley previously taught Irish dance!

Claire

Claire Douell:

Claire was born and raised in West Union.  She joined our family in June of 2023 .  A lifelong love of animals led Claire to pursue a path in Veterinary Medicine.  In addition to working at the clinic full time, Claire is pursuing her certification as a Veterinary Technician at Penn Foster.   She enjoys spending her free time with her two fur babies (Cash is pictured with her!).  Claire is very much an "all in" team member serving wherever there is a need.  She spends a significant portion of her time facilitating clients and performing patient triage.   She finds great enjoyment spending her days with animals while also getting to know our clients.  Claire lives by the Elayne Booster quote, "If you're not covered in dog hair; your life is empty."  Is it any wonder she greets everyone with a smile upon entry and fits so seamlessly within our family?!

Hailey

Hailey Skelton:

Hailey is one of the friendly faces that greets you upon entry!  Born and raised in Potts Camp, she enjoys the "hometown" feel of working in such a warm community.  Hailey enjoys getting to meet all of our patients and their humans.  When she's not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her animals.  Her favorite quote is, "Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life" by Mark Twain.  We all agree that quote proves true with our calling!

Emery

Emery Mills:

Emery grew up in Hickory Flat  where she is heavily involved in FFA, livestock judging, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Northeast Community College.  At Northeast, Emery is studying animal and dairy science.  To say she enjoys animals would be an understatement; from companion animals to livestock, she enjoys working with them all!  Emery has a beautiful German Shepherd named Holly who attends school with her.  When not studying or working at the clinic, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and fishing.
